2017: Start of the new academic year: five new Faculty joined iaelyon

In a process of continuous development iaelyon School of Management recruited at the beginning of the 2017 academic year five new Faculty to strengthen the existing expertise and to bring new skills into the academic teams.

There are currently 165 academically highly-qualified permanent Faculty at iaelyon. Academic teams cover a wide range of expertise thereby answering the need for skill transfer in Education and Research.

Over 15% of the Professors and Adjunct Associate Professors come from the socio-economic world. Their recruitment is based on their expertise as practitioners in direct link with the courses they teach and projects they develop. Finally the multicultural skills and ability to teach in English of the iaelyon academic teams are strategic in the light of the current development of international partnerships and English-taught programs. 

Along with the 165 permanent Faculty, 95 international professors and over 700 practitioners teach each year.

Jean- François Gajewski, Full Professor, Finance and member of the iaelyon Magellan Research Center. Within the Research laboratory, he is Head of the Finance Group.  His research focuses on the general theme of Information and Financial Markets. Based on the events affecting the life of a company (Stock Market listing, Financial Communication, CSR Information, financial security issuance), it aims at appreciating how investors interpret and integrate this information into their decisions. His works have been published in several scientific journals such as Financial Management, Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Accounting Review, etc.  He is also an Associate Publisher of 3 scientific journals (Finance, Finance Contrôle Stratégie, European Journal of Finance).

After completing his studies all the way to the Ph.D. at University Paris-Dauphine, he was awarded the Prize for Best Thesis in Finance by the Paris Stock Exchange and earned a grant from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research after publishing his work.. After obtaining the “University aggregation contest” in 1999, he worked in several Universities before joining the Savoie Mont-Blanc University in 2007 where he lead the IREGE Research Institute from 2008 to 2012.
 
 
  Christophe Torset, Full Professor Strategy and member of iaelyon Magellan Research Center. Doctor in Management, specialized in strategy from the University Paris-Dauphine, Christophe Torset teaches introduction to management, strategic diagnosis, economic intelligence, monitoring tools and epistemology. As a former Associate Professor at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris he managed the Master’s in Business Administration and created specialized courses in strategy at the University Paris-Dauphine. His research focuses on the elaboration of strategies in organizations at the individual, collective and organizational levels within the point of view of open strategy. His publications include several articles in ranked academic reviews, ten scientific chapters, articles in professional reviews, two academic books and communications during national and international conferences (AIMS, EGOS, SMS…). Christophe Torset was an elected member of the Universities National Board (2015-2017), he is administrator of the French Management Society and member of several learned societies.

 
Margit Munzer, Associate Professor, Finance and member of the iaelyon Magellan Research Center. Graduated from the Cologne University, Margit Munzer did a Ph.D. in co-tutorship between the Cologne University (Germany) and the University of Strasbourg (EM Strasbourg Business School) under the co-direction of Professor Kuhner and Professor Rainelli-Weiss. During her doctoral studies Margit worked as a Temporary Lecturer and Research Assistant at emlyon Business School and at the University of Toulon (IAE Toulon).
Her main research focuses on the financial regulation and aims to a better understanding of reforms of banking regulations following the financial crisis. In the framework of her research she mobilizes theoretical frameworks and various methodological approaches, both qualitative and quantitative. She strengthens the Research Group in Finance and teaches in several Master’s programs.

 
  Florence DUFOUR FERRARA Florence Dufour Ferrara, Adjunct Associate Professor in Management. A consultant, therapist and trainer she founded in 1965 Com’ Unique, a consulting firm in communication and developed an expertise on individual and collective behaviors. She is also a founding member and the general secretary of the “Club Entreprise Sécurité Routière 69.” She teaches project management, corporate strategy, professional social skills and time management at iaelyon.

 
Souhil Chakar, Assistant Professor, Mathematics. He joins the Economic and Mathematic Sciences Department of iaelyon. He defended his thesis on the theme “Process segmentation with an autoregressive noise” in September 2015 (Université Paris Sud).
