"Whose langage is it anyway ? English and Globalisation"
"This talk discusses the spread of English as a global language, with particular reference to the development of 'world Englishes' as a branch of linguistics over the last three decades. In addition, the presentation will consider current arguments concerning globalization and the role of English as a global language. The talk will also report on contemporary research on call centres and BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing) in the Asian region, notably in India and the Philippines."
