Finance research seminar with Ulrich Hege, Vice-President of Toulouse School of Economics

Ulrich Hege presented his research paper “Activism Pressure and the Market for Corporate Assets” co-written with Yifei Zhang. The Finance Group from iaelyon Magellan research centre organised this seminar.

Activism Pressure and the Market for Corporate Assets
Ulrich Hege is Professor and Vice-President at Toulouse School of Economics, Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. He was Dean of TSE from 2016 to 2017. Before arriving at TSE, he has been a Professor at HEC Paris from 2001 and associate Dean from 2013 to 2015. He was also a lecturer and researcher at Tilburg (P-B) University and at ESSEC business school, and Visiting Professor at the London Business School and at the New York University- Stern School of Business.
Ulrich Hege is a native of Germany and holds a M.Sc. in Economy from Frankfurt University (DEU) and a Ph.D. in economy from Princeton University (USA).


A corporate finance specialist 

Ulrich Hege is a specialist in corporate finance. His publications and work focus especially on venture capital and private equity, organisation of innovation, acquisitions and transfers, financial structures of companies, debt structure and reorganisation, bankruptcy and corporate governance. He published over 20 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Rand Journal of Economics, Management Science and Journal of Business.
